As artificial intelligence makes information easier to reproduce, this project does not attempt to preserve value by restricting access. It aims to create value through transparency, organization, verification, maintenance, and public accountability.
Independent, version-controlled, and voluntarily supported
The name draws on the story of the Sleepers of the Cave associated with Ephesus—a story of preservation, awakening, and encountering a world transformed by time. Here, it serves as a reminder to preserve the record, revisit inherited assumptions, and revise conclusions when the evidence changes.
I created this project to publish the kind of research record I want to use: one where the assumptions are visible, the source hierarchy is explicit, revisions are public, and a conditional model output is not promoted as a guaranteed market price.
Financial research often becomes difficult to audit after the headline conclusion travels farther than the underlying work. This site keeps the article, model, source map, methodology, limitations, and change log connected.
Artificial intelligence is reducing the scarcity value of information itself. Replication and summarization will continue to become easier. Restricting access may therefore become both less effective and less socially useful.
The durable work is interpretation, verification, organization, error correction, judgment under uncertainty, and the willingness to maintain a public record. Voluntary support aligns with that objective more naturally than weakening the public product to manufacture an upgrade.
Independent research can be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. Public filings omit information, management disclosures can be ambiguous, counterparties may disagree, model inputs can create false precision, and execution can diverge sharply from a forecast.
The answer is not to remove uncertainty from the presentation. It is to locate the uncertainty, describe it precisely, expose the sensitivity, and state what evidence would change the conclusion.
Material corrections receive a dated public entry showing the previous value, revised value, reason, source, materiality, and expected analytical effect. Readers can submit primary sources, formula corrections, alternative interpretations, and broken-link reports without having to become paying supporters.
