The argument
The best peer is the company with the most similar cash-flow rights and obligations, not necessarily the nearest business label. Powered-shell rent, GPU cloud revenue, and mining gross profit should not share one multiple without reconciliation.

Counterarguments
A broad per-MW comparison can still be useful as an initial screen. It can identify where the market appears to assign unusually high or low option value. The screen becomes analysis only after the contractual and capital structure differences are explained.
Risks
Public disclosures may use different definitions or omit usable IT conversion. Customer contracts can be summarized without full economic terms. Construction estimates can exclude customer equipment, land, common infrastructure, or financing cost.

New contracts, energization, project debt, tenant disclosures, asset sales, and segment results can improve comparability.

Valuation analysis
A normalized enterprise-value bridge should add debt and minority claims, subtract excess cash, and then divide by a denominator matched to the economic stage being valued. An operating-MW multiple should not include undeveloped capacity in the denominator unless the numerator also isolates option value.
Assumptions
The demonstration profiles use placeholder capacity and share counts. No ranking should be interpreted as current.
Methodology
For each peer, create a site-level ledger with the same fields: stage, gross MW, usable IT MW, contract status, revenue start, owner, capex, financing, customer credit, and evidence quality. Only then aggregate to the company level.
Disconfirming evidence
The framework's apparent conclusion can reverse when a contract transfers capex to the customer, when a company owns less than 100% of the site, or when project debt has recourse to the parent.
What would change the conclusion
Full contract economics and site-level funding would narrow the range most. Operating segment disclosures would allow comparison on cash return rather than headline capacity.
